CANAVALIA is a poet-inspired linen blouse with dropped shoulders, gently puffed sleeves, and ties at the back. Its relaxed shape works with wide-leg pants or a skirt for an easy day-to-evening look.
Fabric & finish
Made from 100% European flax linen, with French seams that enclose the raw edges for a neat, comfortable finish inside. The linen is OEKO-TEX certified.
We pre-wash each garment in plain water before shipping, allowing the linen to undergo its initial shrinkage before it reaches you.
Fabric color selection
Choose "Standard" to select a color and an available linen weight from our regular palette. Choose "Custom" for a color outside that palette: we purchase the fabric specifically for your order, in the quantity needed to make your garment. This special sourcing adds 10% to the price. For custom colors, choose your color from the dropdown menu and add your preferred fabric weight for each chosen color in your order notes.
We will select the closest available linen weight to your preference from the mill. Your preferred weight is a request, not a guarantee of availability.
As a guide: 150 GSM is lightweight, 180 GSM is medium-weight, and 250 GSM is heavyweight. Ultralight 100 GSM linen is also available; please note that it is sheer, not opaque. GSM means grams per square meter.

Beautifully made using beautiful fabric. I ordered this blouse in white 180g, a weight which is just thick enough to allow no show through of underwear. Looks great with a close-fitting vest top underneath! I'm a UK 12: 40” (102cm) bust, 32" (81cm) waist, 41" (104cm) hips. My height is around average at 5' 4.5" (164cm). I ordered Large, and am wearing it well gathered at the back using the drawstrings. On me it's an oversized fit, which I don't mind in this instance! No problems with delivery to the UK. I've already ordered a second one in black.
Absolutely exquisite craftsmanship! The linen is buttery smooth and soft, every bit of sewing is perfection in French seams. These are garments so beautifully made you can wear them inside out!! Already I am planning my next purchase!
One tiny matter to note is the large, distinctive maker's tag sewn into the back (on the inside) which on darker more opaque fabric may not be as noticeable as in my white tops.
I ordered up from my usual size as I wanted it loose and I could have ordered true to size. It's roomy but so very comfortable and romantic a blouse!

Earth Red is really a great color, not too bright, but not dull or washed out either. Blouse has a lot of extra fabric in the back, but the draw string helps.
